I love the balconies for the Beirut museum. Should be a model for all mild climate buildings. I live in Yunnan province, China, which has a very mild, mediterranean climate. We bought an apartment in a 26 story building. Most people put glass on the edge of the space, facing South. I guess they are trying to maximize indoor space, but it must be very hot and is very closed off from the usually good weather outside. I made very deep balconies (3 meters) separated from the interior space by sliding glass doors. Most of the time, the sliding doors are open and the whole apartment feels like a porch. No ac and no heat needed.

What foolish boy, look your bureau, office with odd daylight, it looks like a prison, employees are unhappy and sleepy . what kind of architecture would you offer? Work on your own quality of life balance before you make architecture.

video production people: "Because architecture is so boring to the many visually illiterate people out there, we need to slam some dopey music into the video to make it interesting. WHO came up with that crazy idea? Not going to watch this. It is an insult to everyone.

The music is irrelevant, distracting and ultimately it degrades the firm's profile. Bad decision to bring it into the "gaps" in the presentation. Whoever is responsible for that is a complete idiot. When compared to the profile of Steven Holl, this video comes off as childish.

Another awful music choice ... it’s as if every video has awful music choices, repetition, and volume.
